Black Progressives Podcast
A podcast devoted to providing a progressive, intersectional anti-racist Black platform for current social, political events and news locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. As well as interviews and conversations with Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC) authors, musicians, locals, academics and more, we hope to expand the ideas of what it means to be BIPOC in Southern Indiana, America and the world. Our goal is to chart a course through Progressive Black thought. It will also explore BIPOC queer identities and other intersectional identities.

Black Progressives Talk Juneteenth -Pilot Ep
Recorded on 06-17-21 with JadaBee our host and creator, Lauren McCallister & Martin Law both of Black Lives Matter Bloomington. The 3 of them talk about the recent announcement to make Juneteenth a national holiday. They get into the complicated relationship with celebrating Juneteenth on a national scale as well as a local southern Indiana level.
This was a test conversation for the Podcast using our mobile microphone and testing the format & regular commentators. The format is evolving and the recording location and process is too.
